Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the accounting operations of AMain. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and assisting in the day-to-day management of the accounting team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in a fast-paced e-commerce or retail environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Close ProcessAssist in managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP Accounting OperationsOversee general ledger activity, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accounting Support revenue recognition and cost accounting processes Monitor and improve accounting workflows and systems Internal Controls & ComplianceMaintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policies Assist with audits (internal and external), including preparation of schedules and documentation Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Analysis & Process ImprovementAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities Drive process improvements and automation initiatives Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills PreferredExperience in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-heavy environments Familiarity with QuickbooksExperience managing or mentoring team members Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Effective communication and collaboration skills High level of integrity and accountability
