If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Zeeland region seeking Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Document inspection results accurately in the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain detailed records of inspected items. Identify and tag non-conforming materials, initiating Material Review Board (MRB) processes and collaborating with engineering and quality teams for disposition. Utilize a variety of precision measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators. Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure accurate measurement and evaluation of parts. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, providing clear communication and supporting corrective action efforts. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the inspection area. Recommended Qualifications High school diploma or GED 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications Proficient in using various measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges) Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping Bonus Qualifications Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T Certification in a relevant quality discipline (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Technician) Experience with various types of destructive and non-destructive testing Job Titles That Should Apply Incoming Quality Inspector, Receiving Inspector, Quality Control Technician, Inspection Technician, Materials Inspector, QA Inspector, Quality Assurance Technician, Incoming Materials Inspector, QC Inspector Why The Pivot Group Network The Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
