Human Resources Project Manager

An electric utility client is looking for an HR Project Manager who will manage activities of one or more large, mid-to long-term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes.Location: Rosemead, CA 91770 (Hybrid - onsite days Monday/Tuesday)Position: HR Project ManagerPay Rate: $74/hr. on W2Duration: 6 months or longerSchedule: M-F 8-5Interview Process2 rounds of interviews.• Candidates may be asked to prepare and deliver a 15–20-minute presentation (3–5 slides) presenting a project of their choosing (preferably an HR‑related initiative). The presentation should outline a project kickoff or charter and demonstrate experience with traditional, phase‑based project delivery, including planning, governance, and controls, as well as how Agile practices would be incorporated in a hybrid delivery environmentRESPONSIBILITIESManages activities of one or more large, mid-to long-term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes.Develops business plans, objectives and initiatives for the organization.Provides inputs to organizational objectives and policies and ensures delivery of results.Engage regularly with senior management as a key consultant on critical business issues.Manages and executes HR projects, collaborates with cross-functional HR teams and sets tactical and strategic priorities.Takes a lead role in implementing change management strategies for HR projects and creates communication plans and materials to engage and inform employees and stakeholders.Implements benefits realization, satisfaction surveys, and metrics tracking to quantify HR project ROI and value delivery.Implements project management reporting tools, progress dashboards, and methodologies to gain visibility into HR project health and status.Works closely with third-party vendors to ensure contract terms and conditions are being met as well as managing the project schedule.QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or Equivalent5-7 years of progressive project management experience, including significant experience leading traditional, phase-based (Waterfall) projects and applying Agile/Scrum practices in a hybrid delivery environmentStrong working knowledge of project governance, change control, and formal approval processes.Experience managing projects with procurement, vendor contracting, and third‑party delivery components.Ability to apply Agile/Scrum practices within a broader traditional or hybrid project framework.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSProject Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred; equivalent project management certification or demonstrated experience may be considered.About our client:Our client is one of the largest electric utilities and a longtime leader in renewable energy and energy efficiency in the United States providing electricity for much of Southern California.About APR:Since 1980 APR Consulting, Inc. has provided professional recruiting and contingent workforce solutions to a diverse mix of clients, industries, and skill sets nationwide.Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity!
