This position sits at the intersection of People Operations and Workplace Operations, ensuring both internal processes and the physical office environment run smoothly and scale effectively. You'll work cross-functionally with teams such as Engineering, IT, Finance, and Legal, as well as external vendors. The ideal candidates thrives on creating an exceptional employee experience, from onboarding through day-to-day operations.This is an incredible opportunity to join during a period of rapid growth, where you can build out process and really make an impact!THE NITTY GRITTY:Workplace OperationsOversee day-to-day office operations, including facilities, supplies, and vendor coordinationManage relationships with service providers (e.g., building management, security, IT/AV, catering, furniture)Develop and maintain scalable workplace systems and processesTrack and manage budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvementsPeople OperationsMaintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across HR systemsManage employment verification processes (including I-9 compliance)Coordinate onboarding logistics, including documentation, system access, and orientationPartner with internal teams to deliver a strong new hire experienceSupport offboarding processes and documentationHandle sensitive employee data with a high level of confidentialityIdentify opportunities to streamline and improve workflows, including leveraging automation toolsEmployee Experience & SafetySupport employee engagement initiatives, events, and in-office programmingPartner on onboarding experiences and team-building effortsMaintain workplace safety standards, including emergency preparedness and ergonomic supportProactively identify and resolve operational issues to ensure a smooth employee experienceTHE ESSENTIALS:2+ years of experience in People Operations, Office Management, Workplace Operations, or similar rolesPassion for & knowledge of AI tools a plus!Experience working at a tech startup and/or high-growth tech company preferredExpert project management skills & experienceSelf-starter with the ability to thrive in a high-growth environmentAdaptable nature and ability to shift priorities as neededStrategic & process-oriented mindsetSuperb organizational skillsTHE CHERRY ON TOP:Opportunity to join an exciting startup on the ground floor!Well-funded company, established customer base, and innovative productLOCATION: San Mateo, CA (Onsite - 3 to 5 days per week depending on needs)COMPENSATION: $70k -105k base salary + equity + benefits (exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and expertise)What are you waiting for?
