Med-Surg Nurse (RN) - High Point, NC

A registered nurse with MedSurg and telemetry experience is needed for a contract position in High Point, NC. The role focuses on providing skilled nursing care in a busy transitional care unit at a well-established academic medical center with Level 1 Trauma Designation.Responsibilities include managing patients with complex medical conditions such as CHF, COPD, kidney, liver, GI, and respiratory issues, as well as infections, wounds, and CIWA patients. The unit comprises 20 beds with a patient ratio of 1:5. Nurses will perform advanced nursing tasks including IV starts, wound care, dressing changes, trach and chest tube care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, central line blood draws, and administering non-titrating drips like Heparin and Lasix.
