Tri-County Jr/Sr High School Culinary Arts Instructor

Qualifications* Valid Teaching License in FACS or ability to obtain a Workplace Specialist License with verified industry experience.* Preferred: ServSafe Instructor/Proctor statusResponsibilitiesProvide students with a valid standards/skills-based curriculum and training that is aligned to NLPS, leading to the opportunity for relevant certifications.Develop partnerships with local businesses and industry for student experiences.Maintain and follow all students IEPs, Behavioral Plans, 504 Plans according to the information provided by the teacher of record.Understand the student handbook and follow protocols and policies of the school.Perform other duties as directed by the administration.Understand and follow all emergency procedures and protocols for their school building.Be able to assist students in making viable, realistic career decisions.Work with the Work-based Learning Coordinator to coordinate opportunities for students, such as internships and job shadowing.Maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming class/kitchen environment that promotes student learning.Facilitate an effective advisory committee for the program that meets twice a year minimally.Provide all needed documentation for reporting purposes as requested by the Corporation or CTE Director.Seek approval for program purchases by the CTE Director and Superintendent/Corporation Treasurer.Effective Date* August 3, 2026 - New Teacher OrientationPosting* Until FilledSalary and Benefits:* Salary competitive and commensurate with education, experience, and training.* Benefits; including holidays, sick and personal days, insurance, etc. in accordance with the master teacher contract of the Tri-County School Corporation.
