Technical and Trade SchoolsSpecialized Design ServicesBusiness Schools and Computer and Management TrainingAdvertising, Public Relations, and Related ServicesEducational Support ServicesVDC Technician page is loaded## VDC Technicianlocations: Lexington , KY (Amteck HQ): Greenville, SC (Amteck)time type: Full timeposted on: Posted 30+ Days Agojob requisition id: JR102980KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:* **3D Modeling:**Creating and updating detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.* **Layout Assistance:**Facilitate communication between field and BIM Technicians by reviewing field markups and ensuring all the information needed for modeling is being captured.* **Model Coordination:**Integrating design information from various disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) into the 3D model.* **Clash Detection:**Identifying and resolving spatial conflicts or clashes between different building components using clash detection tools.* **Constructability Reviews:**Evaluating the feasibility of construction based on the 3D model and providing feedback to improve the design.* **Construction Documentation:**Generating drawings, schedules, and visualizations from the 3D model to support construction planning and execution.* **Collaboration:**Working closely with VDC project managers, engineers, supers and construction PMs to ensure alignment between digital designs and on-site realities.* **Supporting Project Teams:**Providing 3D visualizations, clash reports, and other information to aid decision-making and project execution.* **Travel:**About 50% of time traveling, with the possibility of extended periods of time stationed at a job site.REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:* Experience using Navisworks.* Sound understanding of electrical construction methods and terminology, building codes, and industry standards.* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.* Ability to analyze and interpret electrical design information.* Problem-solving skills to address clashes and constructability issues.* Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Ability to manage single tasks effectively and meet deadlines.DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:* Electrical construction experience.* Understanding of BIM principles and workflows desired.* Experience with the use of 3D modeling software.
