Business Analytics and Performance Analyst

Job Description POSITION SUMMARYSupports Everence by integrating business analysis, technical reporting, and problem-solving within a collaborative and complex business environment. Assists the Finance & Business Analytics department transform data into meaningful insights that enhance how Everence monitors and understands its operations.Initially assumes responsibility for several reporting, analysis, and data-related activities currently managed by the team. Over time, this role is expected to develop into more advanced business analysis and financial performance monitoring, supporting the department's long-term development of enhanced business analytics and FP&A capabilities.The ideal candidate is naturally curious, learns quickly, and is comfortable working in situations where the path forward is not always clearly defined. This role requires someone who enjoys connecting data, systems, and business context to help answer meaningful questions about the organization's performance. Everence operates across multiple legal entities, product lines, and regulatory environments, making this role well-suited to someone who enjoys complexity and is motivated by understanding how different parts of an organization connect.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESOwn recurring reporting and analysis tasks, including report updates, data setup, and maintaining existing reporting procedures.Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of Power BI dashboards and reports that assist Everence in monitoring key business metrics.Work with data from multiple systems and tools, including SQL-based data sources, Excel, Access, D365 Customer Insights, ClickDimensions, and Power BI.Conduct business analysis that transforms data into clear insights and practical understanding of business performance.Assist in creating new reporting or analytical tools that enhance visibility into trends, operational activity, and financial performance.Collaborate with internal subject matter experts across different departments to understand business procedures, clarify reporting requirements, and verify analytical results.Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency, data quality, and consistency across analytical outputs.Document processes and reporting logic to enhance transparency, continuity, and knowledge sharing within the department.Support shifting departmental priorities as the team continues to grow its skills in business analytics and financial performance monitoring.QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field preferredExperience:3–5 years of experience in business analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, or a related analytical role preferredExperience with SQL and Power BI is strongly preferredExperience with Excel and Access for analysis or reportingFamiliarity with marketing automation or customer data platforms, such as D365 Customer Insights or ClickDimensions, is helpfulExperience with ETL processes, relational databases, or data warehouse environments is beneficialExperience working in environments where responsibilities change and not every requirement is predefinedExperience in financial services or other regulated industries is beneficial but not requiredSkills and Abilities:A strong curiosity and a natural desire to understand how things workAbility to think critically and analyze problems effectivelyComfortable working in gray areas where requirements or answers are not always clearStrong technical skills with the ability to quickly learn new systemsAbility to translate data into clear explanations and insightsStrong attention to detail while maintaining a broader perspectiveStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to collaborate effectively in a team while managing independent responsibilitiesAlignment in supporting the Everence mission of empowering financial well-being for faith-inspired livingSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneSCHEDULE: Full-time
