Assembly Laborer / Production AssemblerWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Laborer / Production Assembler to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. This role is responsible for assembling parts and racks using hand and power tools while following engineering prints and quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble parts and racks using hand tools, power tools, and fastenersFollow engineering prints, work instructions, and first-piece samples to ensure accuracyPerform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications throughout the assembly processVerify proper fit and form of parts before moving to the next stageAssist with line changeovers and production adjustments as neededSupport other departments based on production needsMaintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S standardsFollow all safety procedures and company policiesQualificationsPrevious assembly or manufacturing experience preferredAbility to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math (including decimals and fractions)Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and blueprintsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and in a team environmentGood communication and problem-solving skillsMechanical aptitude is a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods (80100% of shift)Frequent bending, kneeling, and reachingAbility to lift:Up to 25 lbs regularlyUp to 50 lbs occasionallyAbility to perform repetitive tasks using hands and toolsOccasional pushing/pulling of materials (with team assistance as needed)Work EnvironmentManufacturing / production settingUse of hand and power toolsExposure to noise and moving equipmentSafety gear required as neededEqual Opportunity Employer: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
