The program runs from June 8th through July 31, 2026. This initiative is designed to support structured outdoor play and engagement for community youth, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.Please note: Playground Instructors will not participate in field trips and will remain at their assigned parks during program hours.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Not all-inclusive):Oversee and facilitate dynamic activities and experiences tailored for children aged 6-12, creating a secure and inclusive environment that promotes learning, growth, and enjoyment.Maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional rapport with participants, staff, and parents to ensure a positive and supportive experience for all involved. Effectively manage conflicts and resolve issues in high-pressure situations, with a strong focus on participant safety.Actively engage in and supervise all camp activities and swimming sessions, participating physically as needed. Develop and prepare engaging lesson plans, and lead activities that foster creativity, cooperation, and fun.Safety remains a top priority. Closely supervise all activities, maintain open communication with all stakeholders, and proactively manage any issues that arise to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for every participant.ADDITIONAL DUTIES:Performs related work as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Requires a current First Aid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.Requires previous experience in supervising and leading youth activities with children ages 6-12 in recreation, school, or faith-based organizations.Must be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of the position, which involves supervising minors, ensuring safety, and exercising independent judgment in a recreation program setting.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: (Use the resume tab to upload CPR Certification)First Aid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) CertificationValid Florida Driver's LicenseVeteran Preference in appointment will be given to those eligible.In order to be eligible for Veteran Preference, you must furnish a Department of Defense document, commonly known as form DD-214 (Member 4 Copy recommended) or military discharge papers, or equivalent certification from the DVA, listing military status, dates of service and discharge type BEFORE CLOSING DATE OF THE JOB POSTING.
