The primary goal is to bring the best patient care and experience for our area's children.SUMMARY: This position plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s people strategy by administering employee benefits programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive employee experience. This position serves as a key resource for team members, providing guidance on HR policies, resolving workplace concerns, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. This is a salaried, exempt position.Essential Accountability And ExpectationsMaintains a high levels of professionalism on the job and projects this professionalism to the Board, all team members (employed and volunteers), parents/patients, partners, and stakeholders at all times. Participates in mandatory training.Creates and maintains a gossip free environment.Maintains a clean and safe working environment.Knows, aligns with, and strives to achieve the organization’s vision and mission statements via the Accountability Creed.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesResearch, evaluate, and recommend employee benefits plans that provide the best value for both team members and the organizationPartner with executive leadership to design, implement, and enhance benefits programsServe as the primary point of contact for plan vendors, brokers, and third-party administratorsManage full-cycle benefits administration, including enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, claims, and compliance testingLead open enrollment and develop clear, engaging communication materials (presentations, guides, summary plan descriptions)Provide ongoing education to ensure employees fully understand and maximize their benefitsMaintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers’ compensation, HIPAA, OSHA)Monitor regulatory changes and proactively update leadershipImmigration law knowledgeMaintain accurate employee recordsParticipate in salary surveys and analyze market data to ensure competitive and equitable pay practicesSupport internal audits, reporting, and compliance testing requirementsWrite, update, and maintain HR policies related to benefitsAct as a trusted advisor to team members and leadersInvestigate and support resolution of team member relations matters, escalating sensitive issues to HR leadership as appropriateParticipate in corrective action, coaching, and termination meetings as neededPartner with managers to navigate workplace challenges, including performance, engagement, and team dynamicsHelp foster a positive, inclusive, and patient-centered cultureOther duties as assigned.Required Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)2 or more years of HR experience Preferred Education And Experience4+ Years of HR experience in a Healthcare setting. HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Strong knowledge of employment laws and healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA)Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Workday) Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive employee and patient-related informationPhysical Demands And Work EnvironmentProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Frequently required to handle several face-to-face and telephone contacts daily. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift/push/carry items up to 15 pounds. LANGUAGE SKILLS: English.
