You'll collaborate with internal teams and utility clients while taking ownership of projects from concept through execution.Responsibilities include:Leading Protection & Control engineering projects for utility substationsPerforming relay setting calculations and coordination studies using ASPEN, SEL AcSELerator, and related softwareDeveloping relay settings and issuing final design packagesReviewing and marking up protection schematics, elementaries, and one-line diagramsConducting fault analysis, short circuit studies, and protection system evaluationsSupporting SCADA integration and protection system design activitiesCoordinating with engineering and design teams to ensure successful project executionServing as a technical lead and mentoring junior engineersDriving project schedules, technical quality, and overall project successInterpreting industry codes, standards, and utility requirementsTraveling to substations and project sites approximately 10-15% as neededWhat We're Looking For8+ years of Protection & Controls experience within the utility industry8+ years leading engineering projects from start to finishStrong experience in relay settings, relay coordination, and protection system designExpertise with protective relaying systems (SEL, ABB, or similar)Experience performing fault analysis, short circuit studies, and load flow analysisStrong understanding of transmission and distribution systemsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)PE License highly preferredCandidates actively pursuing PE licensure are encouraged to applyTechnical Experience DesiredRelay Setting & Coordination StudiesProtection System DesignProtective RelayingTransmission ProtectionPower System ProtectionFault AnalysisShort Circuit StudiesLoad Flow AnalysisSCADA SystemsSubstation Protection & ControlsJoin a Team That Powers the FutureThis is more than just another engineering role—it's an opportunity to work on projects that directly impact the reliability and modernization of our nation's power infrastructure.
