We lead the way in closed die forging innovation for the aerospace, oilfield, power generation, mechanical power transmission, off-highway and railway industries.Position OverviewThe Welder performs MIG and stick welding to repair, maintain, and fabricate metal components and equipment throughout the facility. Reads blueprints and work instructions to position, weld, and rebuild parts to required specifications. Works with maintenance and operations to support equipment reliability, complete repairs, and ensure safe, efficient production.General ResponsibilitiesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specificationsProficiency with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipmentKnowledge of metal fabrication, equipment repair, and welding processesExperience performing MIG and Stick welding in a manufacturing or industrial environmentFabricate, assemble, and repair metal components to meet quality and safety standardsInspect completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirementsMaintain a safe, organized, and productive work areaCollaborate effectively with team members to complete projects on scheduleOther duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Must be able to read and write in English.2+ years of experience in MIG and stick weldingAbility to read manuals, blueprints, work orders, and perform shop math.Proficiency using welding tools.Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.Positive attitude and strong teamwork mindset.Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand majority of shift.Job involves frequent standing, walking, twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing steps, lifting, pushing, and pulling.Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout shift.Must be able to tolerate extreme heat in summer months and extreme cold during winter months.Canton Drop Forge is an equal opportunity employer; qualified applicants are considered for and treated during employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law.Canton Drop Forge offers a comprehensive and competitive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and paid time off.Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and thorough drug screen, including hair testing.
