Job Title: Product SpecialistDepartment: Product ManagementLocation: Hybrid (Regular on-site presence required; travel as needed)Employment Type: Full-timePosition SummaryThe Product Specialist supports the execution, optimization, and day-to-day product management operations for assigned Outdoor Power Equipment product lines, with a strong emphasis on retail execution, product data accuracy, and cross-functional coordination. This hands-on role will work closely with Product Line Management to execute strategic initiatives as well as Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and external retail partners to ensure products are accurately specified and effectively merchandised.The role blends tactical product management, retail merchandising support, and product data governance, ensuring successful product lifecycle execution from sourcing and launch through retail execution and ongoing support.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Line & Lifecycle SupportSupport the development, execution, and lifecycle management of assigned product linesAssist in evaluating new product opportunities, line extensions, and assortment changesExecute tactical initiatives as directed by the Product Line ManagerSupport product change requests, product cost analysis, and margin maintenanceProduct Data, Specifications & SystemsMaintain accurate and complete product data in ERP, PIM, and related systemsCreate, review, audit, and update product specifications, documentation, packaging, labeling, and technical contentEnsure data consistency across all systems and sales channelsIdentify and resolve discrepancies through cross-functional collaborationRetail Merchandising & ExecutionDevelop, maintain, and update planograms aligned with merchandising strategy and retail constraintsSupport visual merchandising standards and ensure consistent in-store executionConduct retail audits and reviews to verify correct product setup and presentationAnalyze merchandising and product performance; provide insights and improvement recommendationsSupport retail partners and internal teams with product information and documentationProduct Launch & Market SupportExecute product launch plans, schedules, and milestone trackingCoordinate product photography, content creation, and technical documentationSupport the development of training materials for sales, marketing, and retail teamsCollect and organize Voice-of-Customer (VOC) dataConduct preliminary market research and competitive analysis; maintain competitive intelligenceCross-Functional & Operational SupportServe as a day-to-day liaison with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer ServiceCoordinate sample evaluations, testing, and quality documentationAssist with continuous improvement initiatives for product, retail, and data processesSupport inventory planning, forecasting, and product change processesSupport customer service with technical product guidance and issue resolutionQualificationsUndergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experienceMechanical or technical aptitude; experience with OPE, Power Sports, Marine, Automotive, or replacement parts preferredExperience in product or technical support, product data management, merchandising, or related roleProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP and PIM systems requiredStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage and audit complex item specificationsSkills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and organizational skillsEffective written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindsetComfortable working both independently and collaborativelyTravel & Work EnvironmentHybrid role with a combination of on-site and remote workRegular on-site presence required at the Portland, TN facility to support product reviews, planogram maintenance, and cross-functional collaborationOccasional travel may be requiredWhy Join UsThis role offers a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of product management, retail execution, and data excellence.
