Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Candidates must pass a competency exam before acceptance. Traveling teams must have their own vehicles. Candidates must maintain natural hair color and have no facial piercings. Candidates must be clean-shaven for fit testing. RNs must demonstrate competence in maintaining a sterile field. RNs will be expected to complete a skills lab for Foley catheter insertion and other procedures. Description: This position requires an experienced emergency room nurse. Nurses will work in a 12-bed emergency department with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. The unit handles lower acuity cases, ESI levels 3-4, including abdominal pain and headaches. Nurses are responsible for completing labs, EKGs, physical therapy, and patient transfers. Weekend shifts will be mandatory, with two weekend shifts required per month. A positive team culture is essential. Nurses will receive training on lifts, restraints, and wound care as part of the onboarding process. The charge nurse will manage the unit without a patient assignment unless the census exceeds 20. Pharmacy services are available 24/7.
