Controller

We are partnering with a company who is looking to hire a dynamic Controller. The company is scaling rapidly and transitioning toward more structured, corporate-level expectations, creating a need for someone who can build and implement internal controls while partnering across the business. Role And Responsibilities:Develop and maintain relationships with external accounting personnel to facilitate financial activitiesMonitor financial activity and details, such as cash flow, and reserve levels to ensure all regulatory requirements are metReceive, record and authorize requests for disbursements, in accordance with company policiesDevelop internal control policy, guidelines, and procedures for budget cash and credit managementReceive cash, and checks and make depositsPrepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, and reports required by regulatory agenciesReconcile all balance sheet accounts monthlyCalculate and monitor utilization, margin on completed jobs, and burden ratesConduct audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements, and statutesMaintain up to date knowledge of federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standardsProvide direction and assistance to other organizational departments regarding budgets, policies, and efficient control and utilization of financial resourcesPrepare financial reports to facilitate the preparation and filing of tax returns. Supervise, manage and mentor employees performing financial reporting accounting, billing, collections, cash disbursements and payroll Requirements: Bachelors DegreePublic accounting foundation OR large publicly traded company experience Manufacturing experience10+ years of experience in a similar role Internal controls understanding and experienceAbility to manage & tolerate changeWillingness and ability to still be hands on / heavily participate in month end Proven ability to communicate cross-functionally Preferable Skills:Interpersonal relationshipsAnalysis of data Decision making and problem solvingCommunication Information processingOrganization, and planningCoaching and developmentInterpretation of information Monitoring and controlling resourcesEducation:Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferable
