Document Control Specialist - Aerospace
Position OverviewThe Document Imaging Clerk is a key member of the quality assurance team, responsible for converting physical records into high-quality digital formats. This role involves the entire lifecycle of document digitization, from physical preparation and high-speed scanning to indexing, quality assurance, and secure server uploads. The primary goal is to ensure that all digital records are accurate, searchable, and organized within the company’s Document Management System (DMS).Essential FunctionsTo accomplish this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: Sort, batch, and prepare hard-copy records for scanning (e.g., removing staples, repairing torn pages, and ensuring correct chronological order).Operate scanning equipment to digitize various document types, including standard files.Assign accurate file names, tags, and metadata to scanned images to ensure they are easily retrievable on the company server.Review digital images for clarity, completeness, and orientation. Perform rescans as necessary to meet quality standards.
