It is responsible for overseeing AirVault Specialists, including managing work schedules, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, and maintaining the overall efficiency of the team.The role reports directly to the ACM Digital Data Supervisor. It also supports the Digital Data team’s core function of processing all scanned paperwork from Line and Base Maintenance stations into American Airlines’ online data storage system, ensuring documents are easily searchable and accessible.What You'll DoProvides technical expertise and trains and mentors Specialists on maintenance transactions and documentation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness within AirVault.Oversees the department internal audit functions, identify root causes of defects and revise department procedures, tools, or applications to reduce errorsUnderstands and communicates policy and procedure manuals and their impact to department processesDocuments new and revised business processes with a strong emphasis on Continuous ImprovementBalances daily job assignments across the team consistent with operational demand including external department requestsServes as department focal with Tech Ops partner departments on key projects and initiatives including Maintenance Programs, Engineering, Maintenance Planning, Quality Assurance, and Line and Base Maintenance stations or internal shopsEngages suppliers and vendors as required for part maintenance discrepancies and documentation to ensure proof of compliance with maintenance or modification activity on active aircraft componentsAvailable to be on call 24/7Available for weekend duty or night shift coverage in some rolesAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/trainingPreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelor's degree or higher education in technical or aviation related fieldExperience with other aircraft maintenance systems such as SAFE, AMPS, TechSight X that interface with SCEPTRE of System Time Control (STC) maintenance systemsLean Office or Lean Manufacturing trainingSix Sigma Yellow Belt or higher certification from an accredited/accepted institutionSkills, Licenses & Certifications Demonstrated understanding of parts and task relationship/structure in SCEPTRE maintenance systemsWorking knowledge of corporate and department policies and procedures including detailed understanding of GPM, EPM and applicable FAA RegulationsAbility to understand, interpret and navigate Tech Ops technical data sources including maintenance manuals and airline produced documents such as EO, ES, EA, FMR, ESOComputer literate and proficient in use of Microsoft Office productsAbility to manage multiple duties, priorities, and special assignments daily, corresponding with operational needsCapacity to cross-train on multiple departmental dutiesCapability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment and maintain precision under deadlinesAptitude to operate independently in self-directed fashionExperience with organizational projects and the ability to manage and complete these projectsEffective time management and organization skillsStrong critical thinking and analytical skillsEnthusiasm for accuracySelf-directed work ethic with initiativeHigh level of attention to detailWhat You'll GetFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
