Job description
Hiring first-shift Machinists. The position requires a good work ethic and a willingness to learn. CNC Machinist is primarily responsible for the set up and operation of CNC production equipment using standard concepts, practices, and procedures. They are also responsible for programming modifications to ensure that productivity and quality goals are achieved. They should be able to work well with others to ensure that production schedules are met.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Perform set ups and operate CNC equipment, including turning, milling, grinding, drilling, tapping and honing efficiently and safely.
Operate multiple machines simultaneously when needed.
Able to adjust and calculate machine speeds, depths, and feed ratios.
Set up and operate various inspection instruments as required
Read and understand blue prints.
Responsible for performing routine operational checks and repair work on machinery.
Complete and understand documentation needed to comply with company policies, Quality Manual and procedures.
Safety, cleanliness of equipment and company product, including but not limited to:
Simple maintenance as required.
Clean work area as needed.
Complies with all health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and job hazard assessments applicable to specified job activities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED; technical or vocational certifications preferred but not required
Ability to read/interpret blueprints; measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, scales, indicators, and SPC equipment) and knowledge of tool identification
Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop and crouch, push, pull, reach, grasp, feel, talk, and hear.
The employee is required to lift more than 50 pounds rarely and/or 25 to 50 pounds occasionally and move around large areas or to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects unassisted or with the use of a fork list, hand truck or hoist.
