Electro-Mechanic -- Santa Clarita, CAPOSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of processing equipment according to safety and productive maintenance systems to achieve customer satisfaction and departmental objectives.SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs repairs, overhauls, preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment to ensure full customer satisfaction regarding equipment performance and service.Understands the various raw material/fruit qualities and characteristics and how each influences or interacts with Brown equipment to effectively adjust or troubleshoot equipment to achieve quality and yield requirements.Troubleshoot controls related processing issues (within the authorized access and change/modification parameters designated for Electro-Mechanics) as well as know when to call Control Techs for assistance/support.Assist Lead in report writing, ordering parts, and inventory management.Effectively train and guide Mechanics and Electro-Mechanics as well as customer's maintenance staff.Support Engineering on problem resolution and process improvements.Troubleshoots equipment problems to reduce productivity losses.Implements long term corrective actions to avoid repeat issues.Maintains spare parts inventory to support production and customer needs while maintaining budget and inventory objectives.Documents and reports machine performance, corrective actions, maintenance activities, parts utilization, and inventory into our web based computerized maintenance management software to achieve efficiency and regular operation of equipment.Follows all standard work procedures, safety regulations, and policies to maintain a safe working environment.Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and any shift to meet business demands.Must be able to work at assigned customer plant and travel to other customer plants as needed to meet business demands.May periodically travel domestically and internationally.TPC training program or equivalent must be completedInstalling, maintaining and repairing electrical control, wiringPerform general electrical maintenanceTroubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devicesRead and understand electrical and pneumatic schematicsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Follows proper safety procedures and safeguards others' safety at all times, understanding the obligation to refuse to perform any tasks that are unsafe.Maintains work assigned area or normal working area so that it is clean and orderly.Assist others in need and help to improve their skills.Accept all other duties as assigned.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalentRelevant experience working as a maintenance technician or repairing equipmentRelevant experience working as an electrical maintenance technician troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment.Experience working with hand toolsAbility to communicate effectively with team members and customersAbility to work under pressure with a high degree of professionalism and customer serviceAbility to work efficiently and with little to no direct supervision or aloneBasic troubleshooting knowledge of mechanical and electrical (sensors, PLCs, circuits, VFD's, motor starters, etc.)Valid driver's license and reliable transportationBasic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:Capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 poundsCapable of standing and walking up to 12 hours a dayCapable of climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching above shoulder heightCapable of working in hot/cold or humid environment.COMPENSATION$30-38/hrBENEFITSMedical (PPO & HSA), dental, and vision insurancePaid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holidaysEmployee assistance program (EAP)401k with Company MatchProfit sharingFree Life InsuranceFree Accidental Death and Dismemberment InsuranceFree Short-term & Long-term Disability Insurance*Salary information is a general guideline only.
