Tittle: Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Engineer Location: St. Louis, Missouri Salary Range: $80 to 85/hr Competitive and commensurate with experience Introduction We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to join our team. This role involves working on the entire production cycle of our programs, with a focus on electrical components, assemblies, and managing diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS). Required Skills & QualificationsApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2MUST have a BS Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (No "EE Technology" Degrees please!)Experience with one or more of the following: Obsolescence Management, DMS, Parts Management, managing Bills of Material (BOMs), researching alternate componentsFive or more years of experience in an Obsolescence Management / DMSMS / Component Engineering position where this was a key element of primary responsibilities Preferred Skills & QualificationsExperience with the clientMilitary experienceAvionics experience Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesApply engineering knowledge to evaluate new components for assembly and subassembly designSupport subcontractors and suppliers to ensure electronic components are qualified per contract and Parts Management PlanRecommend new and alternate electrical components for new product development and legacy programsConduct obsolescence forecasting and monitoring using various tools and surveysDevelop obsolescence mitigation options and business case analysesLead periodic DMS meetings with internal and external customersDevelop technical and cost proposalsReview and assist in the implementation of DoD Parts Management program requirements Company Benefits & CultureComprehensive health and wellness benefitsInclusive and diverse workplace cultureOpportunities for professional growth and development For immediate consideration, please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
