Operations Associate

Job Description Operations Team MemberLutheran Social Services of the Southwest (LSS-SW) is hiring an Operations Associate to help keep our facilities, supplies, and day-to-day operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on role that supports multiple sites and teams, grounded in a strong culture of service, responsiveness, and support.What You'll Do:Keep office and common areas stocked with supplies, including kitchen and breakroom essentialsMonitor inventory levels and restock and reorder supplies with a strong focus on cost awareness and minimizing wasteCoordinate with property management and vendors to address maintenance and facility needsSupport basic safety and security practices, including reporting concerns and helping maintain secure, functional spacesAssist with managing keys, access, and overall site readinessHelp maintain the organization's vehicle fleet:Schedule and take vehicles in for routine maintenanceWash and clean vehicles regularlyTrack vehicle use and conditionAssist with driver safety efforts by helping track vehicle inspections, reporting issues, and supporting safe-use practicesMaintain and update operational tracking tools using Excel (inventory, fleet, and general logs)Support accounts payable processes by organizing, tracking, and maintaining records (e.g., invoices, receipts, and documentation), without direct responsibility for payment processingRespond to staff requests with a customer-service mindset, helping remove barriers so teams can focus on their workWhat We're Looking For:Basic Excel skills (updating spreadsheets, tracking information, simple formulas)Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-throughAbility to be resourceful and cost-conscious when managing supplies and vendorsComfortable with hands-on tasks (lifting, moving supplies, traveling between sites)Organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities at onceClear communication and a proactive, problem-solving approachCommitment to supporting others with a helpful, team-oriented mindsetValid driver's license and reliable transportationMust successfully pass all required background screenings, including Central RegistryWork Environment:Active, on-the-go role with a mix of office and field-based responsibilitiesRegular interaction with staff, vendors, and property contactsA team culture that values reliability, respect, and supporting one another's success
