DevOps Engineer - Onsite
DevOps EngineerGenesis10 is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer for an onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Hopewell, NJ or Plano, TX. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.This role involves application deployment automation, creating and managing CI/CD pipelines for on-premise and cloud-based platforms, and supporting the DevOps pipeline for a Hybrid Cloud environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a global team to onboard new projects, refine user stories, and ensure adherence to firm policies.Responsibilities:Application deployment automation and creation and management of CI/CD pipelines for on-prem, internal and external cloud-based platformsBuild and Support DevOps pipeline for Hybrid CloudHelping with the on-boarding of new projects, developers, applications and new software toolsHelp define and refine user stories and acceptance criterion in achieving desired outcomesCollaborate as part of a global and diverse team, with clients across the globeCommunicate with users, developers and other DevOps teams to get projects deliveredCollaborate with platform, security and control teams to ensure firm policies are adheredRequirements:5 years experience working with one or more cloud providers like Azure, AWS, GCPExperience in using GitHub Copilot10 years overall experience in a DevOps roleExperience in using tools like Harness, GitHub, GitHub ActionsProficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, PythonExperience with container management utilizing Docker & Kubernetes, and IaC tools such as TerraformKnowledge of test automation frameworks - Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium, Litmus TestExperience in modern software development lifecycle (SDLC) and with DevOps mentality and test-driven development approachesExperience in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipeline processes; automated build and test systems with one or more cloud service providersExperience implementing shift left methodologies incorporating security early in the pipelineExperience in modern Agile/Scrum development methodologiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAssociate or Intermediate level industry certification in DevOpsDesired Skills:Expertise with multiple IaC tools like Cloud Formation, ARM templatesExperience in monitoring frameworks for Cloud systemsExperience with Policy as Code tools and enforcement in pipelineExperience with CI/CD open source and vendor frameworksExperience with support models and configuration management systems like AnsibleExperience in the financial industry is a plusBachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or similarAdvanced level industry certification in DevOpsPay range: $58.31 - $66.31 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
