Student Worker - Academic Advisement

The Academic Advisement student worker will provide receptionist and secretarial duties for the Academic Advisement department.Education & Experience RequirementsEducation required:Must be an enrolled JALC student, with a minimum of 6 hours in the fall and/or spring semestersMust maintain a minimum 2.0 GPAOther requirements:Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skillsEssential Functions & Position DutiesAnswer, screen, and direct phone calls to appropriate offices or personnelProvide accurate information regarding office services, campus resources, and general inquiriesMonitor and manage the front desk area to ensure a clean, organized, and professional environmentSchedule appointments and maintain calendars as neededMaintain confidentiality of student and institutional information in accordance with policiesSupport office staff with special projects and events as neededManage multiple responsibilities in a high-traffic, fast-paced office setting, especially during peak periods, while maintaining strong attention to detail and a high level of customer serviceNon-Essential Functions of the PositionOther duties as assigned. Duties must be performed on the John A.
