Student Worker - Biology Lab Assistant
The Biology Lab Assistant will assist the Biology Lab Technician in preparing and taking down items in the Biology labs. The Student Worker will work with approximately 20 faculty members and assist with approximately 50 labs per week.Education & Experience RequirementsEducation required:Must be an enrolled JALC student, with a minimum of 6 credit hours in the fall and spring semestersMust maintain a minimum 2.0 GPAHave a high school diplomaHave a FAFSA on file with the Financial Aid officeOther requirements:Able to lift heavy objectsWell organized and dependableInterested in scienceComputer and math skillsEssential Functions & Position DutiesCleaning lab spaces and equipmentPreparing media, solutions, dissection materials, and other lab materialsOrganizing and storing materialsMaintaining living organisms within the labOperating some lab equipment, as directedNon-Essential Functions of the PositionOther duties as assigned. Duties must be performed on the John A.
