Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Senior Software Engineer III - Node/React/AWS Hybrid (Mon-Thurs onsite - WFH Friday) Contract to Hire We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer III to join our Enterprise & Retail Technology team. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll spend the majority of your time designing, building, and shipping high-quality software while contributing to architectural decisions and elevating the engineering team around you. You'll be a key individual contributor driving end-to-end development, partnering closely with product and business teams, and ensuring we're delivering scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions across our platform. We're also evolving how we build software - so we're looking for someone who embraces modern AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot and can help introduce smarter, more efficient ways of working across the team. What You'll Be Doing Delivery & ExecutionOwn features and projects end-to-end - from technical design through deployment and production supportWrite clean, well-tested, performant code and lead by example in code reviewsEnsure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with our engineering standards and architect Technical ContributionContribute meaningfully to design and architecture discussions, bringing well-reasoned technical recommendations.Mentor and support peers, sharing knowledge and helping raise the overall capability of the team.Work across teams and vendors to ensure smooth integration and delivery. AI & Engineering EfficiencyLeverage tools like GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development to improve your own productivity and share learnings with the teamIdentify opportunities to improve delivery speed through automation - testing, documentation, code generationExplore ways to incorporate AI-driven features into product applications where it adds business value. CollaborationPartner closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions.Collaborate effectively with offshore teams and vendors to keep delivery on track.Help identify and resolve dependencies that slow the team down. Quality & OperationsTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.Ensure applications perform reliably in production through proactive monitoring and observability practices.Support releases, UAT, and continuous improvements post-launch. What We're Looking For Technical SkillsiStrong full-stack development experienceFrontend: ReactBackend: Node.js, TypeScript; (Python & Java a plus)Proven experience building microservices and REST/JSON APIs at scaleSolid understanding of service design, workflow orchestration, and API documentationStrong observability practices - logging, tracing, alerting, dashboardsSolid CI/CD pipeline experience - building, maintaining, and improving delivery pipelinesStrong background in AWS cloud environmentsSolid SQL and relational database experience Leadership & ApproachComfortable owning delivery end-to-end with minimal directionExperience mentoring peers and contributing to a strong engineering cultureStrong communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences Nice to HaveHands-on experience with AI development tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) in day-to-day workflowsExposure to building data-driven or intelligent application featuresBackground in retail, fintech, or omni-channel environment RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)6+ years of software development experienceExperience in enterprise-scale, cloud-based environments
