The successful candidate will support student success by directing choral activities, the BSC Concert Choir and Chamber Choirs, choral conducting, and preparing music events for BSC events.COMPENSATION: Full-Time, special non-tenure track position. To find more information and resources, visit: https://www.commerce.nd.gov/workforce/relocation-resourcesKey Responsibilities:In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the successful candidate will be responsible for:Teaching Music Theory I & II, Aural Skills I & II, Applied Voice Lessons, Music Appreciation, World MusicFacilitating State and Regional music festivals or other areas of expertise or interestParticipating in professional organizations such as NDMEA or ACDAAssessing studentsCommittee workCoordinating with accompanists for rehearsals and performancesOther duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's degree in Music, Choral Directing, or other related fieldDocumented successful experience with teaching choral musicDocumented successful experience with private music lessonsDocumented successful experience with recruiting collegiate studentsDocumented successful teaching experienceAbility to work cooperatively with diverse groups and ability to work as a team memberExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in planning and executing concertsGood working knowledge of computer software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, email, & electronic calendar - Outlook)Creative in using a variety of teaching resources, media, and instructional technologiesPreferred QualificationsEarned doctorate (PhD or DMA)Experience with distance delivery of coursesActive member in ACDA or a state organization such as NDMEAExperience with community and school outreach for musicExperience with a wide range of repertoire (i.e., classical, contemporary, multicultural, etc.)Experience with concert planning, budgeting, and event coordinationADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
