We are seeking a Regional Director to lead the company’s strategic expansion into the Southeast United States, particularly in North Carolina, with a primary focus on the Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte metropolitan regions. In this role, you will launch and establish Boswell’s Southeast roots, foundation, growth, and long-term development.You will be responsible for driving regional growth, developing long-term client relationships, identifying strategic hires and teaming opportunities, while positioning Boswell for sustainable expansion across Transportation, Power & Energy (with a focus on Transmission & Distribution), Environmental, and related infrastructure markets.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and strengthen Boswell’s Southeast presence and brand recognition across North Carolina and the broader Southeast RegionLead the establishment and expansion of Boswell’s first North Carolina office, including the development of the local operational platform, office management structure, registrations, prequalification processes, and other regional administrative and operational requirements, under the strategic direction of Boswell’s executive leadership and corporate HQFormulate and execute a regional growth model, client engagement, and execute strategies, including Collaborating closely with Boswell leadership to align business development efforts with operational delivery capabilitiesDevelop and maintain executive-level relationships with Utilities and energy providers, State and local transportation agencies, Municipalities and public authorities, Private developers and industrial clients, and Engineering and construction partnersIdentify, qualify, and pursue opportunities across Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Substations and grid modernization, Data center and industrial infrastructure, Transportation infrastructure, Water Services, Environmental and permitting services, and Site/Civil EngineeringSupport strategic talent acquisition efforts and help identify local talentSupport proposal strategy, teaming partnerships, contract negotiations, major pursuits while providing ongoing market intelligence regarding competitors, clients, capital programs, and emerging infrastructure trendsRepresent Boswell at industry events, conferences, trade associations, and client meetings throughout the regionRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering is required and Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.Minimum 15+ years of experience within the engineering, infrastructure, and utility industry demonstrating a strong business development mindset and a proven ability to combine strategic leadership, market positioning, technical expertise, and operational managementProven track-record in regional leadership, business development/ market growth, strategic planning and operations leadership role within an engineering consulting firm, including support of local office operations, licensing, prequalification, and regional business development platformsStrong existing network with utilities, transportation agencies, municipalities, developers, and infrastructure stakeholders within North Carolina and the broader Southeast region - Existing relationships with Duke Energy, NCDOT, municipalities, and major regional infrastructure stakeholders are highly preferredKeen understanding of the North Carolina Transportation Infrastructure and Power & Energy market landscape, with particular emphasis on Transmission & Distribution (T&D)Experience working with or pursuing opportunities involving major utilities, public agencies, and infrastructure ownersBackground in integrated infrastructure services, including transportation, environmental, utility, and civil engineering is preferred.BenefitsWe recognize that the best way to provide services of the highest quality is by investing in our employees.
