We are currently seeking a Senior Manager – Finance Transformation (BlackLine) to join our Business Consulting practice.In this role, you will lead complex finance transformation engagements with a strong focus on Record-to-Report (R2R), financial close optimization, and BlackLine implementation and enablement. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders to design and deliver technology-enabled solutions that drive process efficiency, strengthen controls, and accelerate close cycles.Hands-on BlackLine experience is a mandatory requirement for this role.This job posting relates to an existing vacancy within our organization.Who we areA career in our Finance Transformation practice provides the opportunity to work alongside Finance and Business leaders to optimize finance functions. We help organizations achieve strategic alignment, implement cost and service improvement initiatives, and embed sustainable performance management capabilities.Our teams play a critical role in disrupting traditional finance operations through the effective use of digital finance technologies, including close, reconciliation, controls, and automation platforms such as BlackLine.What you will doAs a Senior Manager – Finance Transformation (BlackLine), you will be expected to:Lead end-to-end Finance Transformation engagements, with a primary focus on:Record-to-Report (R2R)Financial close and consolidationAccount reconciliations, journal entries, task management, and controlsAct as a solution lead for BlackLine-enabled transformations, including:BlackLine functional design and implementationClose optimization and stabilizationIntegration with ERP and consolidation platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle)Post-implementation improvement and value realizationAdvise clients on target operating models, process standardization, and governance frameworks supported by BlackLineEngage with executive-level stakeholders as a trusted advisorAnticipate and manage engagement risks, dependencies, and qualityContribute to business development activities, including proposals, points of view (POVs), and client pursuits related to BlackLine and Finance TransformationActively coach, mentor, and develop high-performing consulting teamsClient responsibilitiesLead the delivery of complex Finance Transformation programs, ensuring alignment between process, technology, and peopleOwn client relationships for BlackLine-enabled engagementsManage financial aspects of engagements, including staffing, budgets, and delivery milestonesIdentify opportunities to expand EY services within existing client relationshipsSupervise, coach, and mentor team members across multiple engagementsConduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedbackSupport people initiatives, including recruitment, training, and capability development within Finance Transformation and BlackLinePromote a strong learning culture and inclusive teaming environmentSkills and attributes for successStrong leadership and stakeholder management skillsProven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on complex transformation initiativesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to translate business requirements into technology-enabled solutionsProfessional fluency in English; French is an assetWhat you will bring to this roleBachelor's degree and minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in consulting or industryMandatoryDemonstrated hands-on experience with BlackLine (e.g., Account Reconciliations, Journals, Task Management, Intercompany, Controls)Experience delivering full lifecycle transformation initiatives (assessment, design, implementation, and post-go-live support)Strong background in finance processes, particularly Record-to-Report and financial closeExperience with ERP platforms and finance automation technologiesWillingness to travel as requiredTo all recruitment agencies: EY does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruitment agencies.
