Data CenterTeam Lead / Site Lead (Data Center Deployment)Location: Varies - this team will travel to different sites across the country (someone local to Memphis would be ideal, although this person can live anywhere USA as long as you are within driving distance of a major airport.Travel: [e.g., 75-100% / regional / project-based]Job Summary:The Data Center Team Lead / Site Lead is responsible for overseeing the physical installation and positioning of data center infrastructure, including server racks, cabinets, and related hardware. This role leads deployment teams on large-scale data center projects, ensuring equipment is safely moved, assembled, secured, and prepared for integration within data center environments.The Team Lead / Site Lead serves as the on-site leader for rack deployment activities, coordinating technicians, managing workflow, ensuring adherence to project timelines, and maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the installation process. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead teams in fast-paced deployment environments.Key Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate teams performing server rack and cabinet installations within data centersOversee rack positioning, anchoring, alignment, and layout execution according to floor plans and deployment schematicsDrill into concrete floors and ensure racks are properly secured using anchors and bolts per specificationsServe as the primary on-site point of contact between field technicians, project managers, and customersAssign daily tasks and monitor team productivity to ensure project milestones are metEnsure all installations comply with safety standards, quality expectations, and data center requirementsOperate and oversee the safe use of material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, lifts)Assist with basic cabling activities, including routing and dressing cables as neededSupport inventory handling, equipment staging, and deployment preparationTroubleshoot installation issues and escalate concerns when necessaryMaintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment on-siteEnforce OSHA and site-specific safety protocols at all timesMentor and provide guidance to junior technicians and new team membersRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrior experience in data center deployments, construction, warehousing, or similar hands-on technical environmentsPrevious experience leading teams or coordinating field operationsAbility to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the dayComfortable using power tools (drills, anchors, etc.)Strong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environmentsWillingness to travel extensivelyPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience leading rack installation or data center deployment teamsStrong understanding of server rack assembly, layout alignment, and deployment best practicesAbility to read and interpret floor plans, rack elevation diagrams, and technical layoutsExperience coordinating project timelines and daily field activitiesBasic understanding of structured cablingCertification or experience operating electric pallet jacks or similar equipmentFamiliarity with safety procedures in industrial or technical environmentsLeadership Responsibilities:Supervise field technicians during rack installation and deployment activitiesCoordinate labor resources and adjust priorities based on project demandsEnsure proper communication between field teams and project leadershipMonitor work quality and ensure installations meet customer and project standardsTrack project progress and report status updates to managementIdentify and resolve on-site operational challengesPromote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamworkWork EnvironmentData center environments, construction-like settings, and warehouse spacesFrequent standing, bending, lifting, and use of toolsMay involve working in hot/cold aisles and confined spacesPPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required as applicableAdditional NotesSome roles require certification to operate electric pallet jacks or similar equipmentOpportunities for advancement into senior deployment leadership or specialized technical rolesTraining may be provided for candidates with strong leadership ability and mechanical aptitudeBenefitsOur comprehensive benefits package for full-time salaried employees is effective immediately upon the start date.
