Hardware Design Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Design Engineer .Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Design: Drive complete hardware development, including Digital, Analog, and Mixed-Signal circuits specifically optimized for automotive environments.Power & Body Electronics: Architect and validate Power Electronics systems, DC-DC converters, inverters, Battery Management Systems (BMS), Body Control Modules (BCM), high-speed microcontrollers, and high-side drivers.Sustenance Engineering: Lead Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE), Alternate Component Analysis for cost/supply optimization, and provide factory/production support.Compliance & Safety: Execute Functional Safety designs including FMEDA calculations and robust documentation to ensure compliance with strict automotive standards.Testing & Validation: Conduct comprehensive board-level, interface, integration, and system/vehicle-level testing. Manage thermal, reliability (DFMEA), and EMI/EMC compliance test execution.Client Collaboration: Act as a direct technical point of contact for customers, leading weekly trackings, managing open issues, and translating client needs into technical specifications.Manufacturing Hand-off: Collaborate closely with PCB fabrication and assembly houses to ensure design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and smooth physical builds.Required Skills & QualificationsDesign Tools: High proficiency in Pspice or LTspice, Cadence/Allegro, IQRM, and PLM systems (like ONEPLM).Automotive Networks: Strong familiarity with serial communication physical layers, including UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, CAN, and LIN, alongside testing tools like CANalyzer and CANoe.Lab Expertise: Hands-on experience debugging circuits using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, function generators, and environmental/EMC chambers.Debugging Mindset: Strong root cause analysis (RCA) skills, using software debugging tools, emulators, and IDEs to diagnose low-level HW/SW integration anomalies.Layout Knowledge: Deep understanding of high-speed PCB layout design rules, thermal management guidelines, and stray-inductance mitigation.
