Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Perkins Thompson is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our Portland office. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Greet and direct visitors with a welcoming and professional attitude Maintain a clean and organized reception area to ensure a positive first impression Screen and route phone calls on a multi-line phone system Retrieve, process, and distribute incoming mail Coordinate outbound mailings and overnight deliveries Schedule and coordinate internal meetings, including room reservations, catering orders, and setup/breakdown Prepare and distribute various office memos Copy, file, and fax documents Proofread, edit, and format documents for accuracy and professionalism Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned, including occasional local deliveries Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Proficiency in the use of MS Outlook, Excel, and Word Strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and ability to proofread for grammatical, typographical, and contextual errors Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under deadlines. Ability to interact professionally and courteously with clients, attorneys, and staff Competence in operating standard office equipment, including computers, photocopiers, and scanners Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods Working Conditions Use of sensory activities, such as talking, seeing, and hearing Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, push, pull, pinch, grip, and reach overhead Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and retrieve/reorganize files from shelves up to 8 feet high Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Parental leave Professional development assistance Vision insurance Work Location: In person
