Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg Adult, Med-Surg Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 guaranteed hours Experience: Three years of med-surg experience, one year of pediatric experience required. License: Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. Must-Have: Candidates must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patients. Description: This position involves working as a Registered Nurse in a medical-surgical unit for adult geriatrics and pediatric patients. The staffing ratios are excellent, with a typical ratio of 4:1 for non-COVID patients and 2:1 for COVID patients. Flexibility is required to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. In addition to inpatient care, nurses may be assigned to assist with flu immunization clinics as required. Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings regularly. Nurses may be required to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work. Floating may involve taking on a patient load based on experience and competency, or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones.
