Construction Superintendent

Our superintendents play a critical role in maintaining our reputation and ensuring successful project delivery.Position Summary:Dobco Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing subcontractors, coordinating daily site activities, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining strong communication with project management and clients. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex institutional and government-funded construction projects.Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day field operations on construction projects from start to completionCoordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnelDevelop and manage project schedules in collaboration with the Project ManagerEnsure all work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and contract requirementsEnforce safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standardsConduct daily site walks and quality control inspectionsIdentify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delaysMaintain project documentation including daily reports, logs, and progress photosCoordinate inspections with local authorities and third-party agenciesLead weekly subcontractor coordination meetingsMonitor labor productivity and recommend improvements as neededAssist with procurement of materials and equipmentEnsure jobsite cleanliness and organizationQualifications:Experience as a Construction Superintendent (commercial/public works preferred)Experience with ground-up institutional or public works constructionStrong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and sequencingAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience managing multiple subcontractors and tradesProven track record of delivering projects on scheduleStrong leadership and communication skillsProficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)
