Beverage Manager

Position: Beverage Manager Shadow Wood Country Club is currently looking for a Beverage Manager, who is eager to work in a fast paced, high volume, exciting environment. The ideal candidate would pride themselves in offering a high level of customer service. Club Overview: With over 900 Golf memberships, Shadow Wood Country Club stands out among its peers for its unwavering commitment to member service excellence. The club features top-notch facilities, including four dining venues, as well as separate lounges for ladies and men and private event spaces. It boasts a vibrant social calendar with numerous food and beverage events every week. The Food & Beverage operation at Shadow Wood CC is among the largest in Southwest Florida, generating over $6 million in annual revenue, much of which comes from à la carte dining. The F&B department is a high-volume operation that frequently hosts multiple banquets each day. Position Summary: This is a highly interactive position which will suit an individual who thrives in a high-volume, customer service-oriented environment. Responsible for all Bar operations within the food and beverage department, to include: supervise bar staff, create cocktail menus, order liquor and wine product based on par levels, maintains opening and closing side work for bars, is visible and behind the bars during peak times. Trains and supervises service staff and applies Shadow Wood Standards to assure that the wants and needs of club members and guests are consistently exceeded. Duties & Responsibilities: Create cocktail menus and mocktail menus Develops standard operating procedures to ensure bars are setup and operated efficiently. Assures that effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff are implemented. Responsible for conducting training sessions for new bartenders on opening and closing procedures and anything related to the bars. Responsible for creating bar schedule Conducts monthly inventory Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of bar areas, glassware, and equipment through regular inspection and upkeep of liquor storage, wine coolers, and soda storage areas. Ensures that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to, including wage and hour and federal, state and/or local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages. Research new products and develops an analysis of the cost/profit benefits. Maintains documentation of food and beverage departments. Consults with the Food & Beverage Director, Catering Coordinator and Purchasing Agent daily to help assure the highest level of Member satisfaction at minimum cost. Greets Members/guests and oversees actual service on a routine, random basis. Personally, handles selected member and member feedback and advises the Club Manager about appropriate corrective actions taken. Maintain high visibility with the membership.
