Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fire Sprinkler Fitters to join our fire protection team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in residential and commercial settings. Your expertise in pipe fitting, drawings, and code knowledge will ensure the safe and efficient setup of sprinkler systems that meet all safety standards and codes. Duties Read and interpret construction plans to accurately install sprinkler systems according to specifications. Measure, cut, thread, and assemble piping using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment while adhering to safety regulations. Install sprinkler pipes and systems following NFPA and California Building Code standards Solder copper pipes and bend tubing as needed for precise fitting within complex layouts. Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing sprinkler systems to ensure optimal operation. Collaborate with team members on construction sites or manufacturing facilities to ensure timely project completion while maintaining a safe work environment. Qualifications Proven experience in fire sprinkler fitting or plumbing installation within construction or manufacturing environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, calipers, and tube benders. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and drawings with confidence. Knowledge of NFPA standards (such as NFPA 13, 13R and 13D for sprinkler systems). Familiarity with soldering copper pipes. Understanding of safety regulations related to construction sites, rigging procedures, power tool safety practices, and hazard mitigation strategies. Problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical information quickly. Physical ability to lift heavy materials safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as required by project demands.
