Title: Linux/Unix Server EngineerLocation: Austin, TexasJob Overview:We are looking for an experienced Linux/Unix Server Engineer to manage and enhance our Linux/Unix server systems, with a focus on security, integration, and performance. This role involves planning, testing, and implementing new and upgraded OS versions and ensuring robust system security.Key Responsibilities:Plan, test, install, and integrate new and upgraded versions of Unix/Linux operating systems.Conduct security engineering activities with a focus on Linux/Unix environments.Install, monitor, and tune Linux/Unix Server OS and virtual machine software to obtain ATO (Authorization to Operate) for new builds.Capture and refine client requirements to ensure seamless integration with IT component products and systems.Implement best practices in patch and vulnerability management for Linux systems.Perform research, analysis, and design for Linux/Unix computing systems and related network infrastructure.Develop and document configuration guides to support system maintenance and upgrades.Provide security controls and ensure necessary network and data separation.Ensure that essential services are supported on up-to-date OS versions and service versions.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of experience in Linux/Unix administration, design, and system integration.Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph.8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent).Strong expertise in Linux/Unix environments, with proficiency in Unix shell scripting.Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience (both physical and VMware virtual environments).Korean bilingual skills preferred.
