This role focuses on systems architecture, software development, feature integration, and deployment from concept through production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive systems engineering, software development, Python, CAN communication, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).Key Responsibilities:Lead systems architecture and feature development for next-generation automotive technologies.Drive feature development from concept through production launch, including migration and upgrade planning.Design high-level vehicle network architectures, wiring topologies, power distribution, and block diagrams.Develop and allocate system features to meet cost, quality, and performance objectives.Create feature specifications, functional requirements, verification plans, DFMEA/Failure Mode Avoidance documentation, cybersecurity assessments, and functional safety documentation.Develop, test, and deploy software solutions for vehicle hardware and software systems.Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and software development tools such as Python, C++, GitHub, and Gherkin.Review existing vehicle system designs and identify opportunities for quality and cost improvements.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and suppliers to integrate new technologies.Analyze complex vehicle systems and provide innovative engineering solutions.Lead technical trade-off discussions across multiple engineering disciplines.Support connected vehicle data analytics and customer feature optimization.Participate in the development of next-generation digital vehicle experiences.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.3+ years of Systems Engineering experience (Automotive preferred).3+ years of Software Engineering experience.Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and automotive features.Experience with:PythonGitHubCAN CommunicationModel-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)Gherkin or similar requirements toolsKnowledge of:Vehicle networkingElectrical modulesWiring systemsPower distributionBody and chassis systemsExperience writing:Functional specificationsTechnical requirementsVerification plansFunctional safety documentationCybersecurity documentationExperience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in a related engineering discipline.5+ years of automotive engineering experience.Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering V-Model.Experience with:DFMEABoundary DiagramsSpecial Characteristics CommunicationElectrical Design & Release (D&R)Electrical testingExperience progressing customer use cases from concept through testing and production.Strong analytical, systems thinking, and leadership abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Technical SkillsSystems EngineeringModel-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)PythonC++GitHubGherkinCAN CommunicationVehicle Electrical SystemsElectrical ModulesWiring & Power DistributionFunctional SafetyCybersecuritySDLCRequirements ManagementDFMEAFeature VerificationNetwork Architecture
