Associate, Software Engineer
Overview
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software and GenAI-enabled tools to support internal operations and M&A Tax engagements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions, leverage cloud data technologies, and contribute across the full software lifecycle. You will help integrate AI, workflow automation, and analytics into tax platforms, while supporting documentation, code reviews, and agile practices. This position offers a chance to work on impactful tax technology initiatives within a respected advisory firm.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain software applications and GenAI-enabled tools for internal and client engagementsCollaborate with Senior Software Engineers, M&A Tax professionals, and Ignition developersUtilize Microsoft Fabric and cloud data technologies for end-to-end analytics on M&A Tax initiativesParticipate in full software development lifecycle: coding, debugging, and deploymentSupport AI model integration, workflow automation, and analytics into existing tax platformsContribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and improvement of agile practices
Key requirementsMinimum one year of related software engineering experienceBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or equivalentProficiency in Python, C#, or JavaScript; experience with SQL/NoSQL and API developmentHands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Engineering, Data Factory, Synapse) is highly preferredExperience with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred), containerization, and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Git)Strong analytical and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesStrong analytical thinkingEffective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholdersCollaborative team playerPythonC#JavaScript
