Position Title: GDOT Esri ArcGIS Developer 2Client: Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT)Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)Duration: 12+ Months Contract with Possible ExtensionsInterview Type: Web Cam or In-PersonStart Date: 06/15/2026Job Summary:GDOT is seeking an experienced Esri ArcGIS Developer to support enterprise GIS application development, administration, and integration initiatives. The consultant will work within the Enterprise GIS Team to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise GIS applications and geospatial services supporting transportation planning, emergency operations, permitting, safety management, and infrastructure mapping.Key Responsibilities:• Design and develop enterprise GIS web applications and geospatial solutions• Develop GIS web editing and mapping applications• Configure and support ArcGIS Enterprise 11x/12x environments• Develop ArcGIS Server and GeoProcessing services• Build custom widgets using Esri JavaScript SDK• Develop and support ArcGIS Experience Builder applications• Integrate GIS applications with .NET, Oracle, SQL Server, SharePoint, and Power BI• Develop automation and ETL scripts using Python and ArcPy• Troubleshoot GIS applications, servers, and database connectivity issues• Upgrade and migrate existing GIS applications and services• Implement GIS security controls and standardsRequired Skills:• 4+ Years of application development experience• 4+ Years of SQL / PL-SQL experience• 4+ Years of Python Scripting or ArcPy experience• 3+ Years of ArcGIS Server services and GeoProcessing services development• 3+ Years of ArcGIS Enterprise / ArcGIS Online / Portal Administration• 3+ Years of Experience Builder and Arcade scripting• 2+ Years of ArcGIS Pro / ArcMap experience• Strong experience with JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, Git• Experience with Angular or React frameworks• Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts• Experience with ArcGIS Apps such as Field Maps, Survey123, Operations Dashboard, etc.Highly Desired Skills:• Esri JavaScript SDK advanced widget development• ArcGIS GeoEvent Server / Velocity• Roads and Highways / Linear Referencing Systems• Geodatabase Administration• Safe Software FME• ArcGIS Pro Add-In Development• Esri Certifications or URISA GISP Certification
