Human Resources Generalist (Sugar Land)
Overview:Our client is seeking a hands-on, experienced HR Generalist to support a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in operational settings, is comfortable navigating complex employee relations issues, and can step in as a strong partner to managers who may need guidance around accountability and performance management.This is a highly visible, "roll-up-your-sleeves" position for someone who is proactive, solutions-oriented, and confident leading difficult conversations.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance managementPartner with managers to drive accountability and improve team performanceOwn and manage leave administration, including FMLA and other leave programsOversee high-volume onboarding and ensure a smooth new hire experienceGuide managers through disciplinary actions and performance conversationsEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and company policiesSupport fit-for-duty evaluations and return-to-work processesAct as a trusted HR partner across the organization in a fast-moving environmentWhat We're Looking For:4+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar roleStrong background in:Employee Relations (heavy focus)FMLA / Leave ManagementPerformance ManagementExperience in fast-paced environments (e.g., hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, high-volume operations)Proven ability to work with and coach managers who need support driving accountabilityHands-on, proactive mindset—someone who is a true "doer"Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesExcellent communication and conflict resolution skillsWhy This Role:This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being in the middle of the action—solving problems, supporting leadership, and making a real impact on employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
