The position is primarily remote/office-based, with travel to facilities, project sites, and client or vendor meetings as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop PLC programs using Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.Translate P&IDs, I/O lists, and control narratives into functional PLC applications.Perform bench testing, simulation, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).Support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), system startup, commissioning, and operator training.Integrate instrumentation and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).Implement alarms, interlocks, failsafes, and related control functionality.Prepare and maintain accurate as-built documentation.Collaborate with HMI and OT teams on industrial communications, cybersecurity, and system performance.Provide technical support and troubleshoot control system issues during and after deployment.Work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, Field Services, clients, and vendors to deliver reliable project outcomes.Support continuous improvement and maintain high-quality, repeatable engineering solutions.Benefits & PerksCompetitive salary package.Health insurance.Dental insurance.Life insurance.401(k) retirement plan.Paid time off.Paid sick leave.Paid holidays.Wellness program.Purpose-driven work supporting sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure.Professional growth and advancement opportunities.Flexible remote/office working environment.Opportunities to work with automation, industrial controls, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.3–6 years of PLC programming and commissioning experience in utility or industrial environments.Proficiency with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC toolchains.Understanding of industrial networking and communication protocols, including:EtherNet/IPModbusDNP3Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics.Ability to produce clear and accurate technical documentation.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, field services, and technical teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with water and wastewater treatment facilities or related infrastructure.Experience integrating PLCs with HMIs, instrumentation, VFDs, and OT networks.Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity and control-system communications.Experience with FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup, and operator training.Strong understanding of control-system alarming, interlocks, and failsafe strategies.Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and project ownership.Ability to manage project risks, deadlines, budgets, and performance metrics.Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors.Equal Opportunity StatementInframark is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
