We are currently casting Actors, Vocalists, and Hosts to help bring exciting shows, interactive entertainment, and unforgettable guest experiences to life throughout the year.If you have a passion for performing and engaging audiences of all ages, we encourage you to audition.RolesHostsEnergetic, charismatic performers who can lead entertainment experiences, engage guests, introduce shows, and maintain a fun and welcoming atmosphere throughout the park. Strong improvisation and audience interaction skills are a plus.VocalistsStrong singers capable of performing a variety of musical styles for stage shows and entertainment offerings. Vocalists should be comfortable performing upbeat contemporary music and adapting to different show styles and performance environments.ActorsAnimated and versatile performers who can portray a variety of characters in scripted shows and interactive entertainment experiences. Actors should demonstrate strong comedic timing, character work, and the ability to connect with guests of all ages. No accompanist will be provided.HostsPrepare a one-minute, family-friendly monologue that showcases your personality, energy, and ability to engage an audience.You may also be asked to participate in improvisation or cold script readings.Please come prepared with a 1-minute, family friendly comedic monologue.ActorsBe prepared to participate in cold script readings and character-based improvisation exercises during the audition. Please come prepared with a 1-minute, family friendly comedic monologue.Application RequirementAll interested individuals must submit an application prior to attending auditions.What You Get To DoEnthusiastically represent the park with a positive attitude, high energy, and commitment to quality.Perform in stage shows, interactive entertainment, and special experiences throughout the park.Accept performance feedback and adjust accordingly to maintain show quality.Execute pre- and post-show backstage duties as assigned.Ensure adherence to all safety and procedural guidelines.Consistently and expertly execute stage direction and show content.Positively interact with guests, employees, and fellow performers.Perform other duties as assigned.May support Sesame Place San Diego as needed.What It Takes To SucceedFun, outgoing, personable, and animated performance style.Ability to accept and apply performance feedback.Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Availability for varying shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and after-hours rehearsals.Ability to maintain character integrity.Willingness to participate in regular performance assessments.Prior experience in guest service or performance (theater, dance, athletics, etc.) preferred.Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact positively with diverse guests and coworkers.Stand, walk, and/or sit for prolonged periods.Audition requirements may include dance, movement, script memorization, role playing, comedic improv, and miming.AvailabilityNon-peak seasons: At least 3 days of unrestricted availability, including 1 weekend day.Peak seasons: At least 4 days of unrestricted availability, including 1 weekend day.Must be able to work varying hours based on park needs, including opening, mid, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.What Else Is ImportantMust be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 lbs.Extensive walking and standing required.Ability to kneel, squat, bend, reach overhead, and perform simple grasp and fine motor tasks.Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and temperature extremes.May be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cleaning chemicals.Must be able to work flexible schedules and locations based on business needs.Must be able to participate in person at the scheduled audition.Compensation17.75-25.00 USD Hourly based on assigned role.The perks of the position: Ambassadors will enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment, and great teammates, as well as:FREE park admissionDiscounts on park admission tickets and passes for family and friendsPark discounts on food, merchandise, etc.Scholarship opportunitiesExclusive employee events and giveaways EEO EmployerSEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
