This role plays a critical role in the organization and even at this level, there is room for growth.Why This Opportunity Stands OutExecutive visibility with the CFO and senior leadership across a multibillion-dollar networkStrategic influence on portfolio performance, refinancing, and audit outcomes for complex real estate entitiesCritical impact on financial operations during organizational transformation and growthHigh autonomy with the mandate to develop and mentor a team managing expansive, high-stakes projectsKey Responsibilities of the SVP/Director of FinanceOversee all financial management, reporting, and audits for a complex portfolio of affordable housing affiliates (non-profit structure)Lead, develop, and manage a direct team (accounting managers, controllers, assistant controllers, AR/AP) to drive accuracy, compliance, and operational excellenceDirect oversight of tax credit, LIHTC, and refinancing projects, ensuring regulatory adherence and successful debt/equity financing outcomesInterface with internal and external stakeholders (HR, procurement, IT, banks, auditors) to optimize processes and deliver cross-functional resultsPresent consolidated financial statements to the board, drive process improvement, and ensure timely filings (including 990s and audits)Skills/Experience:Minimum 7 years of hands-on affordable housing finance/accounting experience (not exclusively government/personnel policy roles)Strong technical expertise with audits, tax credit/LIHTC projects, refinancing, and complex entity structures (HDFC, non-profit, real estate)Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, business, or real estate managementCompensation$200,000–$225,000 USD plus great benefits (equals approx. 30% of salary), pension plan, robust vacation/sick time
