Project Controls SpecialistDuration: Contract-to-HireLocation: Conshohocken, PAOverviewWe are seeking a Project Controls Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Conshohocken, PA. This role is responsible for leading project controls processes in collaboration with internal project management teams to ensure successful delivery of projects within budget and schedule. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, scheduling expertise, and a deep understanding of cost control methodologies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead project controls activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with budget and schedule objectivesSet up and manage projects within enterprise planning and controls systemsDevelop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)Prepare and manage schedules, cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and performance metricsSupport engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost control effortsAnalyze data, run reports, and validate accuracy of project controls documentationMonitor schedule performance, including logic ties and resource loadingPerform critical path analysis and run "what-if" schedule scenariosDevelop and maintain earned value management (EVM) systems and progress measurement toolsReview and approve purchase orders and subcontracts for proper cost codingTrack and document cost changes, forecasts, and contingenciesCollaborate with Project Management and Accounting teams on cost reviews and auditsReview upstream and downstream change ordersParticipate in Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM)Conduct field audits to ensure accuracy of reporting and adherence to processesSupport project forensic analysis when requiredEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field(Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree)Minimum of 3 years of direct project controls experienceExperience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferredStrong understanding of scheduling, cost control, and forecasting techniquesProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal and collaboration skillsOSHA 10-hour certification (or ability to obtain)Aspen Technical StaffingCELEBRATING 25 YEARS~2001-2026~We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
