Superintendent

ResponsibilitiesCORE Construction is seeking a Superintendent to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction on large scale commercial projects in the East Bay area of California. The candidate will be responsible for all onsite activities of a construction project ranging from start-up to punch-out, including:Coaching subcontractors on safe construction practicesQuality control, ensuring all subcontractor deficiencies are correctedMaintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendorsFacilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordinationWorking with design team and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditionsReviewing all drawings, specifications and submittalsDaily progress reports and weekly schedule updatesThe superintendent’s role is to ensure whatever is required to facilitate the construction of the project on site from beginning to completion while utilizing CORE’s best practices in safety, quality, schedule and cost while maintaining relationships with both our trade partners and our clients. These large-scale projects are often for a wide range of institutional clients, including colleges, universities, K-12 districts, municipalities, healthcare systems and more.Minimum 10 years construction experienceMinimum 5 years supervisory experienceStrong communications skills, both written and verbalComplete and detailed experience with subcontractor and construction sequencingUnderstanding of ASI’s, RFI’s and Material SubmittalsTechnology: Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project and ProcoreExperience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methodsMust work well in a team environment and be committed to client serviceMust be willing to travel within the state of CaliforniaOSHA 30A valid Driver’s LicenseThis is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.
