Construction Foreman

Job Description OverviewJoin our dynamic construction team as a Construction Foreman, where you will lead and supervise on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining a productive work environment while adhering to safety regulations and project specifications.ResponsibilitiesConduct pre-construction meetings with the project manager to finalize schedule, procedures, timeline, and completion datePlan workforce, site coordination, and task allocation with the project managerDevelop and implement the overall project planSupervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities to meet schedule and specificationsManage subcontractors, suppliers, and labor crews to ensure productivity and qualityMonitor project progress and maintain accurate documentation (daily reports, change orders, contracts)Review and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematicsEnsure quality control and compliance with project standards and requirementsConfirm pre-ordered materials and arrange advance procurement of additional materialsCoordinate tool and material delivery, notifying personnel at least one day in advanceUse construction management software (e.g., ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid) for scheduling and resource planningEnforce OSHA safety standards through meetings, inspections, and site complianceConduct site inspections using appropriate tools and equipmentSupervise employees to complete assigned tasks efficientlyMaintain site policies and promote a safe, collaborative, and productive work environmentMust be capable of working on and completing construction tasksExperienceProven supervising experience in heavy civil or commercial construction projects with a strong understanding of construction site operations.Extensive knowledge of construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, or Primavera for project scheduling and tracking.Familiarity with construction estimating techniques and blueprint reading for accurate project planning.Hands-on experience with contracts management, budgeting, and quality assurance processes.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety compliance.Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and motivate personnel toward shared goals.Technical proficiency with tools like schematics, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment is preferred.
