Maintenance Technician
Industrial Maintenance TechnicianThis role focuses on maintaining and repairing production floor equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment to minimize downtime and support continuous operations. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, complete work orders efficiently, and contribute to process improvements while working safely with a variety of tools and equipment.Essential SkillsCompletion of an Industrial Maintenance apprenticeship program or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and welding principles used in a manufacturing environment.Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair of production machinery and equipment.Ability to work safely with hydraulics, pneumatics, and other energy sources during maintenance activities.Experience with maintenance troubleshooting, including identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.Ability to assist with or perform HVAC-related maintenance and repair tasks.Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) sufficient to support troubleshooting and machine repair.Strong communication skills to clearly convey issues, updates, and instructions to team members and leadership.Solid organization skills to manage multiple work orders, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsReach truck, scissor lift, forklift, and crane licenses or the ability to obtain these licenses.Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF standards and how they apply to maintenance activities.Understanding of customer-specific requirements in an automotive manufacturing environment.Experience working as a maintenance technician in a high-volume manufacturing or automotive setting.Comfort using a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.Ability to support and collaborate with electricians and preventative maintenance teams.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsdale, MI.The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $49.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
