Production Shipping & Receiving

Job Description Position Summary:Responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stockand materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing,organizing and retrieving stock and other.ResponsibilitiesPrepare outgoing orders for shipment and arrange shipping transportation thatoptimizes service and cost.Examine and verify contents of incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and quantity against records such as orders, invoices, or packing slips.Inform appropriate parties and document discrepancies or nonconformities impacting billing, production or quality.Investigate and resolve or recommend resolution for shipping and receiving issues –contact appropriate parties to rectify problems.Ensure all transactions are recorded timely and accurately to reflect an accurate inventory position at any timeEnsure safety and cleanliness in production dock operations.Perform other tasks as warranted or assigned by managementPrepare and package outgoing items for internal transfer, ensuring proper labeling and documentationCoordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely movement of materials.Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies during transportation and handling.Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the box truck.Required Education & Experience:High school diploma or GED preferred.Minimum 2 yrs experience in a manufacturing setting receiving and storing products.Strong computer knowledge and experience with scanning equipment.Ability to operate small trucks or similar vehicles.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Have a valid driver license and be able to pass an MVR background check.Knowledge of forklift, pallet jack and dolly operationAbility to maintain accurate detailed records.Good communication and organizational skillsNote: This job description outlines the primary responsibilities and requirements for the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive list.
