Please note that this position is with our direct client Client is looking for a Sr. Mainframe Programmer (Min 15 yrs exp) (Webcam interviews ONLY) POSITION DESCRIPTION DIRECT CLIENT Position Number of positions: 1 Length: 6 Months + Location: Richmond, VA 23230 Work Address: 6606 W. Broad Street, Richmond VA 23230 Immediate interviews - Webcam interviews ONLY Mainframe P/A 4 with Cobol, CICS, VSAM TSO ONE Role remaining Remote role. Mgr will consider qualified candidates out of the Richmond area These are 6 month assignments to start with possibility of extension based on work. Cobol Programmer with Senior level experience with CICS, VSAM and TSO ABOUT THE ROLE Considerable knowledge of mainframe (COBOL, CICS, VSAM and TSO) programming and analysis technology and tools. Considerable knowledge of information system development life cycle phases, disciplines, methodologies and best practices. Strong system analysis, and problem resolutions skills. Ability to independently analyze program specifications; and write design specifications and code for complex programs. Ability to conduct system testing; identify potential problems and prevent errors that could cause significant operational disruption and major cost. Ability to meet production and project deadlines; and collect, review and analyze data. Ability to prepare reports; and work effectively with internal and external parties, independently and as part of a team. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Candidates must have ALL the "Required" skills in order to be considered for the position. "Desired" or "Highly Desired" skills are a PLUS but may NOT be required.
